So, this machine has been updated 4 times now. I believe my system had whatever came out just before Mavericks but was updated in-store before I took it home. I usually wait for the bugs to get worked out of any new OSX before upgrading, and waited much longer with Mojave than I normally would have simply due to procrastination on my part and not wanting to give up the day to update. I was running High Sierra and moved to Mojave when Catalina was released and I had support for High Sierra the entire time I was operating under it. I just upgraded my late 2013 iMac (It came with two 4's so I maxed the slots to 16MB RAM). TL DR: When does Mojave support end? Has Apple said anything official? If you'll forgive the comparison for a moment, Microsoft does usually publish such timelines, "all bug fixes and security updates," "just security updates," "EOL unless we have another Meltdown or Spectre," etc., and I wondered if anyone knew of an equivalent timeline for macOS Mojave. My question is if Apple has any timeline anywhere, (google has gotten me nothing,) as far as for how long Mojave support will last. That said, I should probably get to my point before the mods yeet this into the forum for the new version.

(And, from what I've read, I don't think some of the neatest stuff in the new version works with my hardware, either the laptop itself or my aging 16GB iPad Air 2 that apparently doesn't support Sidecar.) I'm also concerned about losing my Windows10 install on BootCamp, or losing hardware support within that, like my touchpad and stuff.

The age of the laptop and the cut off for 32-bit apps, (many of which refuse to upgrade despite my repeated attempts to ask the developers to do so.looking at you, RosettaStone, Steam, and GuildWars2,) both make me hesitant to upgrade to the newest macOS. I'm running a mid-2015 MBP that I got myself for Christmas of that year, so I know that, as far as Macs go, it's not exactly a young whippersnapper, but it WAS the top-of-the-line best-you-could-get MBP for that time.
